In September 2019, Sinotruk Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., as a pilot unit of Sinotruk, launched state-owned enterprise reforms in terms of organizational, personnel, and strategic aspects.

In August-September 2021, Sinotruk Chengdu V7-X (EV) was successively released, marking Sinotruk Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd.'s official entry into the new energy heavy truck market.

In May 2022, the first batch of 100 pure electric dump trucks from Sinotruk Chengdu were delivered in bulk.

By 2023, the company's new energy heavy truck shipments accounted for more than 50% of Sinotruk's total, leading in the southwestern region in segments such as new energy dump trucks and mixers. This helps Sinotruk's new energy business rank among the top ten nationwide.

In the first quarter of 2024, the company's new energy vehicle production and sales grew more than tenfold year-on-year, propelling Sinotruk's new energy business into the top three nationwide and ranking No.1 among traditional vehicle companies in the new energy market.

In September 2010, Sinotruk reorganized with Chengdu Wangpai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. to establish Sinotruk Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd.

In June 2011, the '7 Series' light-duty truck product of Sinotruk Wangpai rolled off the production line.

In 2012, the company obtained the qualification for producing whole vehicles of new energy vehicles, and the same year, its commercial vehicle exports ranked first in Sichuan.

In December 2013, a new factory for medium and heavy-duty trucks was completed and put into operation.

By 2018, cumulative sales of complete vehicles (including chassis) exceeded 1 million units.

In 1998, Chengdu Wangpai Agricultural Vehicle Co., Ltd. entered the ranks of the top 20 national manufacturers of agricultural vehicles.

From 2004 to 2005, Wangpai Automobile entered the top 100 industrial enterprises in Sichuan Province, ranking among the 50 largest industrial enterprises by scale.

In March 1987, Huayingshan State-owned Great Wall Machinery Factory and Mimou Town Agricultural Machinery Station jointly established the 'Chengdu Branch of State-owned Great Wall Machinery Factory,' marking the official establishment of (the predecessor of) Sinotruk Chengdu Wangpai Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd.

In the 1990s, the company purchased shares of the main factory and established the township enterprise 'Chengdu Great Wall Agricultural Transport Vehicle Factory'

In 1997, it transformed into a joint-stock company named 'Chengdu Wangpai Agricultural Vehicle Co., Ltd.'
