On the evening of August 7, continuous heavy rainfall triggered flash floods in Yuzhong County, Gansu Province, causing severe damage in four townships, including Chengguan and Mapo. In response, subsidiaries of Shandong Heavy Industry Group—Weichai, Shantui, Sinotruk, and Shacman—swiftly mobilized to actively participate in flood relief efforts.
Weichai joined forces with local service stations to reach the disaster areas at the earliest opportunity, rolling out a series of thoughtful support measures. For vehicles engaged in relief operations, Weichai offered free inspections and prioritized urgent repairs regardless of warranty status. Service care packages were distributed free of charge to rescue teams working in the field. Meanwhile, Weichai’s technical team remained on standby around the clock, seamlessly integrating remote guidance with on-site service—demonstrating its commitment to protecting communities with responsibility and action.
Shantui loaders were deployed deep into stricken villages and blocked roads. With strong power and outstanding performance, they cleared debris, dredged river channels, and removed rubble, reopening lifelines and ensuring rescue operations could proceed smoothly.
Sinotruk fire trucks, as a critical force in emergency response, rushed to the disaster front-lines. With reliable equipment and rapid deployment, they carried out drainage, water-logging control, and silt removal tasks, providing solid technical support for rescue and relief operations.
From China to the world, whether in disaster relief, green environmental protection, or education and healthcare, Shandong Heavy Industry Group has consistently lived up to its corporate social responsibility—demonstrating both strength and warmth, and fulfilling the mission of a state-owned enterprise.
Looking ahead, Shandong Heavy Industry Group will continue to monitor the disaster situation, actively contribute to post-disaster reconstruction, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the people of Gansu through this difficult time.
